Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Now we'll have Implementation Teams?

So, while these NDA bound leaders have been sequestered for months, now word has leaked out that there will be Implementation Teams to drive the org changes. Does that mean consultant-led squads of stormtroopers telling us how to do our work? This place is becoming worse than a low budget comedy. Come to think of it, maybe those comedy writers should compile the official communications.

Exactly... CS has no abilities at all except to continue the Agile BS at CVX. But now he's going to lead transition and implementation. I hope they really don't use an ADO board to track.
And remember what AG said.. if you are being asked to create transition documentation, it doesn't mean you won't still have a position. HAHA . I had so many of my people message me after that "lights out" townhall asking what that meant.

Instead of just eliminating the whole
Agile chapter plus its leader, we ended up having the agile chapter head CS run the IT implementation team.

av+1jpx9a6br has it absolutely spot on. The same unless hipots will be kept around until the dust settles then return to their upward trajectory.

When people say, “we need to change the way we work,” in real words, what does that mean exactly? Sounds very buzz-wordy and we won’t get anywhere using buzzwords. BTW- If you think these NDA’d leaders are doing anything other than kingdom building, you are not plugged into reality. Senior level leaders HAVE NOT changed and are working hard at saving only those they deem loyal. It is sad.

These teams will be composed of those high PSG people who were left standing. There needs to be a place to put them. This is an ideal place because it's another do-nothing job where people go to endless meetings to discuss nothing of consequence. After the dust has settled in a year, they will magically be placed in permanent role where all there valuable experience and management skills can be utilized.

"Implementation Teams" sounds like a group of people saying "Why not have ENGINE do that work?" The punchline being that the skilled engineers in India aren't buying Chevron's sales pitch and aren't interested in signing on in sufficient numbers for this to work.

We have to not just re-organize, we have to completely change how we work. A total transformation. Nothing you do today will be the same.
