Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Middle Management Warning

If you are in Zone 0 -2 or out of a PulsePoint location you are a target, Be warned and consider your days as numbered. GB and her UHC friends are going to destroy this company down the drain. Your leadership is lying to you and they are looking to save their own behind. There are better choices out there who will appreciate your hard work.

I am so sick and tired of waiting every Thursday to see if it is my turn. I have had 4 team members now be part of a RIF in a years time. We all work hard and care about the work but these leaders don’t care about anyone but themselves. Morgan you are the devil!!!

I never understood why they hired new employees in CA. It's a 1.25 factor, while Louisville, NH, ME, etc are all 0.95. That means a $100k employee is $95,000 in the lower cost states and $125,000 in CA. Why would they have ANY employees in any state above a 1.0 ?

@h7+1 I don't have a single person in my entire department at my PulsePoint location and I still have to go into the office even though it is an hour drive from my home. And I was hired as a 100 percent remote employee and had never been assigned to an office the prior decade. I am still employed but I am sure that is short term the way they are cutting staff.

Location is NOT A FACTOR. It may be an excuse that is given, because there is really not anything scientific about it.

I was also a part of the 3/20 RIF. I was within 50 miles of the pulsepoint office and I wasn’t going in because I don’t have one team member in my org that was in that office. They are just picking and choosing losers whether they like you or not

I was part of the 3/20 RIF, and I live close to a Pulse Point so that was not the determining factor, I had also just received a promotion. So the immediate let go was a surprise but not a surprise. I wish everyone well and know that we all will land on our feet in a better place.

I was also part of the 3/20 and was told it was because of where I live that had me as a layoff candidate.

This is very true.. I was just laid off on 03/20 and I don’t live near a pulse location…

OP - GOING TO destroy? Right idea, wrong tense.
Otherwise, your post is non sequitur.

Zones are the area you’re in. This is how they base your pay. zone 0-2 are the higher ends of pay. Usually state of CA, WA, CO, etc. where the cost of living is higher. You can check your zone under workday
