What departments/organization/state? If you were laid off, when did you have the 1:1 scheduled? Was it the same day/impromptu or did they schedule it a couple days in advance?

Elevance is a sinking ship. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are gearing up to sell. You don’t increase profits by gutting claims operations and support. This area took a massive hit yesterday.
Elevance’s profits took a serious hit in the fourth quarter of 2024, falling to $418 million — down more than half from $856 million in the prior-year period — amid higher medical costs in the safety-net Medicaid program, according to financial results released Thursday morning.
Yet the insurer’s earnings were in line with analyst expectations after a hard year. Investors also found reason for optimism in revenue growth, with Elevance’s topline of $45 billion up about 6% year over year. Elevance’s stock, and shares in managed care peers, rose in Thursday morning trading following the results.
Still, Elevance’s guidance for 2025 implies the insurer expects spending to remain elevated this year, and some market watchers are concerned about the health of Elevance’s growth outlook for privatized Medicare plans — another source of shrinking margins.

I had 3 that were very close to me all with stellar performance and work ethics with 28 - 30 years vested in the company RIF'd today. This company doesn't value its employees or customers even a little! I heard about 200 people undertake Main's org was axed today. So awful and sad and sickening

Laid off today 3/20 from AI department. It's really weird because I just got handed a bunch of work because of RIFs earlier this year. Some other people are gonna be swamped :/
Case managers were laid off in GROUP meetings. Then some were called back to say, "oh no not you...just the people on the first call". Trying not to have a whole heart attack right now.
GBD claims / remote // meeting was scheduled 03/19 for 03/20 at 9:30am , and I was advised to logg off for the day after the meeting. It was a group of claims reps, managers, and HR ..
