Travel for Grade 6&5 in India

As a Grade 6 individual contributor, I rarely have the opportunity to travel to the US and meet my team. Most travel seems reserved for GCLs and CLs, and I’m unsure how the organization truly benefits from offsites or leadership events that primarily involve individuals who aren’t doing any real work. Before the pandemic, traveling was easier, but the situation has changed. It would be helpful to allocate travel budgets for Grades 5 and 6 as well.
Meanwhile, many Grade 7+ employees travel frequently, and it is well known that they don't contribute a dime when it comes to actual work .Most of these id--ts don't even understand what the squad is doing . The resources spent on these id--ts add little value. The multiple leadership layers in India—GCL, tech head, BU head, ELT, ILT, and various chairs—is excessive and do not appear to provide substantial benefits to the organization.It’s about damn time the company cut out this worthless overhead. Most of these roles exist just to stroke the egos of a bunch of dinosaurs at Fidelity who refuse to die off.

I favor more travel for Indians.

As in all the one-way tickets BACK to India they want.

I'd take a 50% pay cut if we could remigrate all of them back to India.

Sr. Managers travel so much. They just want the miles, it has nothing to do with work.

Good point. Why do all these people come here for offsites? They have no idea about the work or the business. They show up, and the L6/L5 folks dial in from India at night to talk about the actual work. Meanwhile, these jokers just sit in the room looking totally clueless
