You are very welcome and you speak the truth. As a matter of fact Seagate created an entire vaccine card database that requires all employees to scan and upload a digits copy of there vaccine record proving they got the shot. If you didn’t you were terminated. There was a form to fill out for religious exemptions only and the company could decide if your excuse was good enough or you got fired if not. I’m not sure if the woke mind virus affects memory from only 5 years ago or if ignorant people are newer employees. Wow. Get a grip out there people, especially if you are a political minority opinion now. Reference popular vote totals.

To set the record straight I can second that. I was threatened with immediate termination without benefits by Seagate if I did not receive an experimental shot. And yes I do know people who were terminated for this. Do you not think I saved and screenshot those email threats from the company in case people denied this? I have them right here. Anyways really dark time.
You must work in HR over there. Whatever. Believe what you want. Seagate is just an average company. In less than 5 years the LCO Design Center once had 1,500 people working now maybe 350 and fired everyone else. And some people were "pushed out" for not vaxing. Then sold the entire 25 acre campus and moved everybody to the front of the building and sublet the back-half. One really nice free benefit is LCO is next to the local airport and one can watch people skydive :)
If they are looking to save money they should go for the management not the doers. Like a good woke company, they protect themselves.
Mixed feelings, got let go, yesterday, average package, will miss the people but not the environment, finally a chance to move on. Hope to find a place where they focus on technology not bs or politics. This left wing company has been su-king for a while. Good luck mates!
We told you so. Those of us who say the next layoff is always just around the corner at this company. Good financial outlooks don’t matter. Seagate has done a rif nearly every year going back a decade. I hope you finally take this serious. Save 50% of your income now and live modestly. Have at least 1 year full salary emergency fund ready to go. It will still su-k but it’ll su-k a whole lot less. And consider quiet quitting and take your life back now.
