Can Cigna employees who were transferred to HCSC and under a band 5 apply to Cigna roles now? The transition document is unclear. Are we still held hostage for another year? My fear is after 365 I’ll be laid off from HCSC.

Yes, you can now apply to any open roles but Cigna cannot actively recruit you.

People were laid off on day one?

Transition was a disaster and the "goodbye and f off" email from David was a joke. Hope DeRosa is fired and homeless soon.

Hearing that Medicare employees that previously worked at HCSC who are conveying from Cigna to HCSC are being laid off - why is that a legit reason?

Does anyone know what will happen to Evernorth employees? In home primary care department specifically. Will the program continue?

Happy for those that found a new home but truly sad for those let go day 1. Only blessing out of that situation is that you didn't give them the blood, sweat and tears taken from you at Cigna.

Same! I felt like I was treated like I stole from them or something. It seems like it was a convenient excuse.

Laid off today bc I worked for a subsidiary of HCSC over 10 years ago (didn't even know they were a subsidiary until today). Ironically left that job to come to Cigna

@bv+1jpq5ybny yes in the divestiture documents it’s stated if HCSC lays you off in this first year that you will be on Cigna’s severance.

So someone who gets laid off by the new company, do they get any severance at all? Does their Cigna tenure carry over? And what a cr-ppy thing to do, just to ensure people stay through the transition.

Yep I got booted. Would have been nice to just be told that I wasn’t conveying.

So wait, people did all the work to transfer the MA business to this new company and then they were promptly let go on day 1? Ge-z. How many were affected, do we know?

Are there any disclosures that provide the number of Cigna employees that were "rebadged" to HCSC?

To all of those impacted:

For those that feel they are now in a better place, in all sincerity "good for you" as for some the Cigna road has likely been a challenging one by no fault of your own.

For those that have been impacted negatively, for what it is worth, "the thoughts of many are with you".

For those still unsure what the future holds, "hang in there". Many have been where you are, yet every situation is unique and when anyone says "they understand", it is often the best they can do to show they care.
