Any1 else had their department ask for how many hours are being spent to do the work, meeting, documentation? With the company for many many years and this is 1st time i am seeing this type of request from them for assessing current staffing need. Smell layoff?

For MOS (not including call teams), you legit log everything you do in the tool. Years ago when it was first introduced, every team created procedure codes for every task they might do at work, including send email, send Webex, etc. and now analysts manually click buttons in the tool when they begin and end those various procedure codes
So MOS orTAS how are they keeping track now? Of our hours worked? Like tracking webex and outlook activity?
MOS in the client space has always been self reported, definitely not happening in the back end
They want you to provide that info?
Like others are saying, most of us have already been involved in time tracking for a long time, but it’s calculated behind the scenes. The odd part is them asking you to be the calculator, they almost guaranteed already have this information on you.
Maybe asking you to see if there is a discrepancy?
This has always been standard fair in ops but called MOS
OP here. What is TAS? Good to knw its been a standard for a lot of groups.
Are you talking about TAS? This has been standard for a lot of groups for a while now.
I have had this request several times during my tenure here. My latest request resulted in new time saving workflows. However, it could be assessing how many FTE's are needed for a role.
