Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

With waves complete, are the remaining in non hub locations virtual?

How long does Legg want to continue this exception?

The waves are not over for everyone. I know because I am in one now. All finance is moving to Dallas - even Atlanta people in finance are moving to Dallas. I got the letter in November. I’m not moving and after responding that I’m not moving a got an email saying I would be surplussed around June.

Move letters are definitely coming for virtual outside of hubs. Time frame is now to May for Q2. Based on warn notifications I'd expect latest end of April. ATT appears to file all layoff warn notices, then conduct off payroll a minum of 60 days later.

The groupings are created to obscure the company's effort to directly target 50+ employees.

People seem not to understand that the waves were groupings of employees, identified 2 years ago, in terms of roughly when they'd be forced to move. Roughly, because within a wave there can be various notification and deadline dates depending on the needs of the business, stretching over many months.

This is in a plan worked at the AVP and above level. If it doesn't seem clear to the employees that is because it isn't a plan to help them understand what's happening.

Any thought that a wave is supposed to be thousands of employees all notified on the same day and either moved or terminated by a single date, is simply wrong. Period.

This is one case where if you want to know your status, "ask your supervisor" really does apply.

In a company this size, there are probably dozens of waves as HR slashes their way through all the different orgs

“ This is not true. There were 3 Waves”
We’ll tell that to the people that got notified this week. More notifications are coming also for NEO. Just because your little group said there aren’t anymore doesn’t mean other groups aren’t going through it still.

"A wave is when a large number of employees are given a job offer in one of the hubs. You are low IQ. STFU"

Your statement/definition was ok until you brought up IQ, which makes you look like you have low IQ. 😆 Kindly silence yourself.

Forcing people into a hub will never be complete until revenue per employee is close to our competitors. Since the Stank cannot grow revenue, and Legg even confirmed that revenue growth will be difficult, expect continue layoffs often masked as Follow The Work to a new hub.

Wrong. A wave is when a large number of employees are given a job offer in one of the hubs. You are low IQ. STFU

Waves aren’t over. People were notified this week they had to move. I don’t think the >waves are going to be over until everyone is in Dallas.

This is not true. There were 3 Waves. You are correct that the layoffs will continue in traditional T fashion, but the 3 distinct, original Waves were part of the dirty deeds done dirt cheap. A swap of the old for the new DEI clowns. Targeted and prioritized to flip the culture quickly.
