Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

CRT, FST, remote work and vehicles

DOTE said, if a field tech is working a CRT office or at home position for 2 years, they need to turn their vehicles in. They also said if a person working as a CRT is doing the same job as a NOC tech they should return to either the field or a switch location. Appalachian area has went way over the line with working remotely, the CRT position and the FST position. Do not believe the data, the data is manipulated.

It may not be going anywhere soon but you best believe it will not be ran like Appalachian is running it. Train Wreck since day one!!

Also you best believe these critical facilities will be manned. The Appalachian model depleted these facilities. Once again bad leadership. The RTP team can't run performance issues down and man these facilities part time. You get the drift, bad execution of a model and bad leadership.

"Bye bye silly area model."

Area model isn't going anywhere any time soon. She already started she believes in the area model and wants to ensure it's implemented consistently.

When Mike Bloom was here NLK was great. All departments worked together, we were a great team. I know change will always happen but when you spend 2+ years changing and no clear direction or no systematic ways of implementing this change then you have problems. It's not a employee problem, post people here are great at what they do. IT'S A LEADERSHIP PROBLEM, SENIOR DIRECTOR DOWN has failed T-Mobile, it's employees and the customers.

Management is around here playing Big Stick, do it because my stick is bigger. This isn't leadership!!!

Who's running this sh-t show? This has bad leadership written all over it. Most of these managers at the market level became managers because they su-ked in previous positions or they are just old as f_ck coasting to retirement.

Let all the CRT's go. Useless position.

Contract all the FST Out, way cheaper and easier to Manage.

Slash RF in half, half short term contractors and the rest permanent FT employees.

Contract dev 100% out, doesn't make sense to keep all these people as FT employees.

Cut management team by 50%, lots of useless people managing nothing.

Be Patient, Jennifer will get all this fixed! She will fix it and flick her ashes at these poor leaders. I'm surprised she has let this go on this long but when she lay the law down it will be fixed in 24 hours. Watch!!!
Bye bye silly area model.
The French does it one way and Jennifer does it the correct way.

I have no clue why field tech managers have vehicles. They dont go to sites. He-l most of them would know how to log in to the equipment or even know what they are looking at when they get to a site

"if a field tech is working a CRT office or at home position for 2 years, they need to turn their vehicles in."

  • Yeah, that tracks. No need for a company ride if you're not out there in the field, ya know? But, hey, they should also tweak the job title to match what you're actually doing. Keep it real, right?

"They also said if a person working as a CRT is doing the same job as a NOC tech they should return to either the field or a switch location."

  • And yeah, no duh. why have two roles doing the same thing? That’s just throwing money down the drain. Let the NOC handle NOC stuff, and the CRT can take care of CRT business. If they’re basically the same gig, just roll ‘em into one and call it a day.

Plus, let’s be real. these jobs are gonna dry up sooner or later as automation keeps rolling in. Just take a peek at what’s happening with autonomous networks. It’s wild, but it’s the future.

As bad as it may seem, management has ensured us we are working under this model and using Scope Worker to ensure they have the data to protect jobs. It makes sense but I'm not sure the data is painting the whole picture.

Not sure what this all means but seems like a leadership failure somewhere. This work flow has to be a morale ki-ler. Never heard of those positions and they don't show up anywhere on any official T-Mobile documentation. It's like playing house, no true position.
