Please don't get me wrong, I am deeply grateful for Citi and the job, but I am extremely tired and frustrated by this 'citi way of working' and my career is not developing in the direction I would like to.
How can I get laid off?

Even with internal candidates Citi takes 3 to 6+ months to give a job offer.
Even HR says they've lost both internal and external job candidates because Citi's hiring/recruiting cycle takes too long.
Life is too short to wait for Citi. Citi is slow and Dvmb as Fvck !
Some of your comments are stupid and childish....
@dj+1jpjvvpcm - so bitter, you must be living a sad life
So you want to get paid to do nothing? Citi already does that for you chica...
Submit your resume for a transfer to a department you would like to work for. Then HR will send it into the abyss, never to be looked at by anyone! Unless your fit the DEI profile.
I would NOT tell your manager that. It will haunt you. As stated there would be a tone of FTE;s that would have already left by now, me one of them.
Hang on. AI is coming
@a4+1jpjvvpcm - Thank you for the reply, op here, no, I am tired of Citi (investment banking as a whole)
Why can't you jump internally ? Citi has very good internal jump options
@a2+1jpjvvpcm - thank you, OPs here. Would my manager just suggest me to resign?
Be upfront with your manager and ask if he can offer you a layoff package. They’ll ask as to why and then try to counter with ways to help you develop. Let them know you’ve made up your mind to leave. It may not work but there is no one size fits all on how to get a severance package. If there was, there’d be a ton of FTE’s that would’ve already left by now.
