Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

No other CEO generated a negative response as strong as Krause

In my 35+ years of professional life I have never seen a new CEO generate a negative response even remotely like Krause. Everyone I know in Citrix put in tons of unpaid overtime in the last two years - we HAD to, to keep up with the workload generated by the whole US going to remote work, and us being one of the major providers of remote software capabilities.

For Krause to go up there and not only just sh*t on all the free hours Citrix got from its employees thanks to working from home, but go on and suggest that rather than providing free work to citrix, we were 'stealing' by moonlighting multiple jobs? I have never been so disrespected by any person at any level of management in any position I've ever held - let alone right after two years of working my a-s off above and beyond the hours I'm actually paid for.

The people who he insulted the worst were the really dedicated people who went above and beyond without any compensation, just because we wanted Citrix to succeed. Those are the employees he most needed to keep. And those will be the first to go kthxbye after this cr-p.

I have zero interest or incentive to work for any company that has this a**clown as its chief executive. And I know I'm far from alone.

Well said, @5exf+1jjNc8wV.

"Fixing the situation and right-sizing the remaining assets that they inherited will not be easy. But now they know the truth and depth of mismanagement by the former ELT it should get easier to shrink the company in alignment with the real revenue and profit."

They 'bought' citrix to sell off the parts that can be sold wrike- (which of course they sold to citrix to begin this game), netscalar, and sharefile, and then extract as much revenue as possible from CVAD's customer base. The revenue extraction will be maximized by reducing engineering costs to the absolute minimum needed to keep it going. They aren't interested in expanding the customer base - so scrap the sales org. They aren't marketing anything, so scrap marketing too. Support will all move to India.

This is not a 'right sizing' operation, it is a classic scrap and pillage operation. The former ELT team was handsomely rewarded for acting out their part according to the script.

Yeah, most of these corporate CEO types are pretty bad, but this one stands out as one of the worst. Maybe being at Twitter with Musk taking over would be worse, I don't know.

Don't take it personally that Krause has no respect for any of the remaining employees at Citrix. The new PE owners are merely reacting to the discovery of the financial engineering that was used to mask the collapse of the Citrix legacy business model.
