Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

To many opinions, not enough work!

Has anyone noticed, we have many people in meetings all day talking and giving their opinions, but not actually doing any work.

This is how I feel about the Workforce Management department. Instead of clocking our every move, they need to be taking some darn calls if it’s so busy. A lot of these management roles are useless babysitting roles, sitting up watching what everyone else is doing when they could be helping customers their darn selves if they care so much about “productivity”. I hate WFM.

There are tons of those working at He_l-a-vance. Their job is to protect those they report to, not do any actual work. Most of them receive Exceeds rankings equating to higher bonuses and merit raises. As the previous post stated 'Welcome to this insane company!'.

I am a peon tied to customer calls all day trying to make the poor decision making from higher ups sound good. I would love a boring meeting or to online shop.

I’ve stopped going to many meetings or drop when I’ve given or received needed updates. Too many managers doing little but shopping online and wasting everyone’s time with zero progress on action items. What’s even crazier is they don’t seem phased when they share their screen and we see that they have a Sephora or Target page open. Please just cancel the meeting and say you have no updates. Some of us are barely treading water doing more than one person‘s job.
