Thread regarding Illumina Inc. layoffs

stock to bottom out at around 50

Same person who said last year that stock could reach 80 in 2024 indicated 50 is a possibility. IDK when we are going to get a break from this sh-tshow.

Need updates from the person saying they'll buy more when ILMN hits 75 dollars!

Illumina is currently valued as a high growth stock- it is not. Best case scenario is it stays at $80 or so. Likely it’ll go down further making it a great acquisition target.

To anyone reading into these prediction nonsense: most of these people have absolutely 0 idea about what they're talking about. Numbers are practically coming out of the rear end. If you think "$71 dollars is way too cheap, imma buy it then because that's a no brainer" think about how that would be a no Brainer for others and therefore actually never hit that $71. Always look at the company values and understand the market sentiment. Follow the proven no Brainer method such as dollar cost averaging, managing risks, putting money into etf, having exposure to total/weighted market.

If it’s going to 50, you can bet even Nancy Pelosi would pile in . With LEAPS.

I've plan to buy some ILMN stocks around $75, in addition to my espp contributions. This is the best and cheapest biotechnology stock currently.

Not quoting Cramer. He is a disaster. Generally you get a premium when there is an acquisition. Honestly Illumina isn’t even compelling for an acquisition target.

I'd be happy with that. I doubt our stock will ever recover.

are you quoting Jim Cramer? that guy might as well guess what the next power ball winning numbers are, he’s always wrong on every single prediction.

Danaher or Thermo. Usually they pay a 30% premium over current stock price.

Who would acquire us? What would happen to our stock then?

We might be acquired before hitting 50. Too cheap to pass at 60 to 70$.
