Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

CHCOPTUM

You must think we're a bunch of stupid people working here. Why would we help the individuals who are trying to setup centralizing processess, such as refunds.??? You're taking away job responsibilities which translates at this juncture to "we don't need that body" because we're just another body to these companies, nothing more. Absolute B*%^S#$_!!!
If anyone working here thinks that there aren't going to be a lot of people losing their jobs have their heads buried. Oh sure, some will stay, but overall, most of Revenue Cycle will likely be dismantled.
The real question we should be asking, WHO paid off the judge who let the merger go through..........
Really pathetic what CHC has done. You have strung employees along for a long time, left us hanging in the wind, wondering if we'll have a job, when will be let go, will they keep me. You shoved "Business as usual" down our throats. Said not to tell clients anything so you pretty much screwed the clients. Many are leaving as are employees because they don't want any association with the Evil Empire that lords over Optum/UHC. The CEOs don't care about anyone other than themselves and their cronies, bonuses and well that's about it. They certainly don't care about the patients or other entities that bill for services. I am thoroughly disgusted with the corporate world. They are nothing more than the devil in disguise.
Find it very convenient that Neil de Crescenzo had his position secured long before the merger was done. How come other employees didn't have that happen??
The silly Roundtable?Fireside chats are supposed to answer questions, not have 2 grown men giggling and acting like high school boys. Not to mention in typical lawyer fashion you spent an hour saying nothing of value. Telling us you're going to be making "thoughtful" decisions means you think we are a bunch of id--ts that can't figure out what you're up to!!! Thoughtful decisions my A#$! Give us the information on how you're going to thin out staff. Oh wait, you'll do that just about the start of the holiday season which is coming fast. That way people can enjoy their holidays knowing they don't have a job or are about to lose it.
Let's talk about the recs put in by Managers and the offers made to individuals who accepted the offer BEFORE the merger was approved. What happened to those offers? Guess what, the recs were all cancelled and Managers have to put in new recs the way Optum does it. What do you think is going to happen to those recs........nothing! Those individuals are never going to get hired because they are going to be reducing the work force. Yeah to Monopolies like UHG!! Way to go CHC for your concern for the healthcare community and patients. You are all a bunch of corporate trash. But hey, if you can lay your head on a pillow at night and sleep...
You do realize that Karma always takes her share.

To the "Dam, chill out, it's just a job"...you are correct, it is just a job & it isn't life or death. I do take my vacation to relax! Yes, there are going to be layoffs. You missed the whole point of what I was getting at.
I could give a rats a#$ if I get layed-off. It would be inconvenient, but I will find another job. Other people might not see it that way. They feel stressed out, scared, worried, etc, wondering if they are going to have a job or not. Concerned that they may not be able to pay bills.
This is about large corporations treating employees as if they were just a number. They use buzz words like "thoughtful integration" to try and make us feel they have our best interests at heart....They don't. It's all about the money!!! How much money can they make, gotta get that big, fat bonus, doesn't matter who they walk over to get "MORE, MORE, MORE MONEY!! Go out on the web and look up UHG/UHC/Optum and see how many lawsuits they had this year alone. Do you know what the nickname for UHG/UHC is? They are not very well liked out there by physicians, hospitals, patients, etc. CHC has chosen to become one with Optum. All the nice words and reasons they gave trying to convince people that it would be a great move are just words. It just made UHG own more of this industry. Bottom line, it is a monopoly.

Did anyone notice Neil wearing UHG jacket ?
He went from wearing the CHC jacket to UHG jacket. Pretty quick to jump over on UHG side .Just my thoughts.

Damn, chill out. It's just a job. I anticipate some layoffs. Maybe even lots of layoffs but it's not life or death. Take some time off and relax.

No, sometimes we don't get to witness Karma happening. I try to be happy knowing that somewhere, somehow Karma will require her/his dues to be paid. We all are responsible for our conduct as we travel through life. That includes the entities that play the corporate games on our backs at our expense.

Karma doesn't work fast enough, unfortunately. Agree with all you said. We little people aren't even people to them. Just expensive bots that are easily deactivated as needed.
