$250,000 a year for 4 day work week?

There is a group Vice President that works 4 days a week . yes 4 days a week. Monday-Thursday, 8-3, or Tuesday to Friday 9-4, and is earning an eye watering $250,000 a year. How does belk explain this?

You are correct nobody is working a 4 day week. They are working 3 day work weeks. Sorry for the confusion .

The best way to think of belk is like a pyramid scheme, all the money goes to the top and then it all collapses, people at the bottom are left with nothing.

Belk does not explain it, they don't care about the associates, managers or how hard any body has worked. We are just a means to an end. Make more money for the higher positions and the shareholders.

Belk’s priorities are crystal clear: appease shareholders at any cost, even if it means throwing long-term, dedicated employees under the bus. Lay off managers who have given decades to the company—some just a year or two away from retirement—all while rewarding executives with cushy four-day workweeks and eye-watering salaries. So much for valuing hard work and dedication. The metrics those managers busted their backs to achieve didn’t matter when it came time to protect the bottom line. It’s painfully obvious that loyalty and commitment mean nothing when profits are on the line.
