Constant layoffs?

What departments have seen layoffs this month? Evernorth arm of the business?
Think about it - Cigna is letting go of folks in the US so that they can onboard in India for 1/3 of the price of a US worker. Until President Trump steps in to support the American workforce and stop the movement of jobs off shore, the layoffs will continue. Better to start looking now before you get the surprise layoff.
Guys, let’s think about this. If someone was removed without severance, it’s reasonable that it was performance related. I know of someone at another company who was given months to a years time to learn a new process and did not, they eventually parted ways. Companies need to be able to execute to stay competitive. These little cuts, they’re most likely to stay on target and not a giant M&A initiative thus no WARN need or trigger.
I know of four layoffs yesterday. I heard there were more but hard to know for sure because it’s a constant trimming of a few at a time.
Yeah so small enough that Cigna didnt move from 71K employees…I think it actually has more than last week….sooooooo
I do know two contractors who got cut yesterday just in my area so it is actually true.
It's been consistent layoffs for over a year now. Every month. Small enough so that no WARN notices are required. That's how most companies do it these days.
I don’t think anyone got laid off yesterday, just chicken little sky is falling. “Not saying anything to get a severance” theory doesn’t work because other still employed departments will be informed and/or will easily notice if you were layed off or not…and everyone is still here.
I need to find a new job if that's the case.
