Curious if anyone who was terminated, did NOT sign the original termination agreement and instead negotiated a better severance package or is seeking outside legal council?

I spoke to a good labor lawyer unfortunately after signing the agreement. After scolding me for signing it prior to talking to her first, she did tell me that the agreement looked pretty airtight and that there was little likelihood of obtaining more in severance and that companies are under no obligation to provide severance in the US. That said, I would check with a lawyer before signing but not get your hopes up too high for any relief.
There was firm handling this for Canadian Employees, but unfortunately they only took employees from specific provinces.
Do not sign. Call a lawyer. The layoffs are illegal, as there is plenty of work.
The imaginary G1500 is there only to try to give them justifiable cause, but no one actually has a G1500 list... Avaya is a sinking ship.
Never sign a termination agreement without taking legal advice and never communicate with the company directly, leave that to the lawyers. To be brutally frank, HR are not there to look after you they are there to protect the company.
It really depends which country you are in!
In Canada this happened:

Several.
Have your attorney contact their attorney. Don't even waste your time talking to HR or leadership.
