They want everybody off the books before 31st December.
For those impacted, you will get a meeting notification between today and Sunday, scheduling an apparent 1:1 with your manager for next week. When you get in the conference room, an HR rep will be there too. They will present your severance package (no more than 1 or 2 months payout), you will be asked to sign those papers, NDAs, etc. They will also take your badge away. After that, armed guards will escort you out the building, where you will be unceremoniously kicked to the curb like a fcking dog.
