Our SBU had a minimal RIF. Leadership team was very honest and open when they discussed with our site.
From what I understand, only indirect employees were laid off. I’ve been through several of these and had a sense it was coming.
Apparently the mandate was a certain percentage of RIF across all of Collins.
Not sure if it’s because some sites are held to unattainable earning expectations or if they are poorly managed.
What I do know is that the people who no longer have a job had nothing to do with a systemic issue. I’ve checked the org charts on teams and it’s already accounted for the people who were let go.
I think if their status color is black and you can’t access their org charts, they likely are no longer employed.
Not sure of the total number of people. Our site was fortunate. But it’s just a shame to know so many people who showed up and did their best got let go because of a problem they didn’t create…
