Seeing people being escorted out by security today. I don't have numbers but it looks like layoffs are starting today for certain areas within the Melbourne FL area.

@fn it’s now 9/17/25 walked out after a whole day working my a-s off. Walked out like a damn criminal. Melbourne site. They had to fire me after all this company couldn’t afford to give me severance pay now could they? I’m not the only one. Collins su-ks!

They knew it was mostly quality getting the axe. Probably more conference caller/ email reader/spreadsheet jockeys next. Can’t afford to get rid of the assembly and testers. Gotta pay the bills…. One or more less managers also. Maybe some in engineering with poor geometry, algebra, trigonometry and calculus skills. Can’t fake that. A foreign accent can only go so far to avoid your layoff. Sorry
My husband was laid off from Collins Aerospace in Melbourne Florida. He was an on-site, salary Quality Engineer. His manager didn't even know that my husband was being laid off.
