So who are the powers that be that decide my last day of employment if I made the AEOI decision and it gets approved? Is the decision made by those close to me in the org chart? Or at a higher level? Or someone unrelated in HR? Are there any metrics or reasoning that goes into this decision? I would prefer to leave as soon as possible and not be stuck in a 12 month transition role.

Your supervisor sends their recommendation for AEOI approval, referral or denial. Also they send the recommended final day, you should have a conversation with them about that and influence the recommendation. I heard the standard data would be July 1st. Upper mgmt and your VP would have the final decision.
My sup asked me what I wanted and we agreed on a date he will request. Tbd if it is the date I get
Personally I just want to go at the first available date. Don’t need or want to “stick” around.
Sounds like most orgs are picking one date for everyone and it will be before the new org goes live.
Close to you in the org chart and it’s based on business need.
You “BU” leadership
Send me a couple of R&A's, I've got you covered.
It’s decided by people on this board
Typically lower level employees will vote
