Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Fact Check: U.S. Bank’s Claim Doesn’t Hold Up.

U.S. Bank states it’s the only U.S.-based bank with an 11-year streak as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies—but that’s not the whole story.

Thrivent, another U.S.-based financial institution, has held this recognition for 14 consecutive years. Ethics isn’t about marketing spin—it’s about transparency and truth. If a company can’t even be honest in its accolades, how can customers and employees trust its commitment to ethics?

The technology at the bank is best described as a ball of bandaids. 1980s vintage with a pretty front end.

No way US Bank is an ethical company. Having worked there I I know this is not the case. Very unethical company, horrible structure, very old systems, no innovation, horrible leadership, focus on hiring inexpensive and inexperienced contractors from India, etc etc etc…. I used to have a bank credit card and after a few months into my work I canceled.

Is Thrivent actually a “bank?” It might not have a charter and therefore is not officially a bank.

“ Ethisphere has a proprietary metric for assessing how morally correct companies are. This year, it gave an award to Israel’s largest we-pons manufacturer.”

“Then there’s 10-time honoree—the US Bank—which the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ordered to pay nearly $21 million last year after blocking out-of-work customers from receiving unemployment benefits at the height of the pandemic. “We work hard to ensure we do the right thing in everything we do,” noted a US Bank representative in its celebratory press release last week.”

It’s $3,500 to “apply.”

I wonder how much they paid for that. Forcing people who were hired as remote employees to RTO is totes ethical.

Can you go away? Your tone and cr-ppy attitude sounds like the OP that posted about “useless agilists”

People are on here to get info on layoffs. They have legitimate fears and you’re here stirring the pot. You sound like you need a new job and some friends!

Was there a layoff? Is a layoff coming? Should we be worried?

We pay for that award anyway, it doesn't mean anything!
