Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

I'm done with Cigna

I’m gone. Maybe they will pay me to leave. Maybe not. Either way, I’m done!

I used to care. Used to push myself to be the best. that fire is long gone. The way things work at Cigna drained every ounce of motivation.

This place left me empty. No energy. No vision. I got nothing left to give.

Yes, thousands of federal workers have been laid off thanks to Musk and Trump. All of those people will be looking for jobs which could make the market a lot tougher right now

You way want to consider the job market before voluntarily leaving. With all the DOGE layoffs there are going to be a lot of people looking for jobs in the private sector. It's about to get way more competitive, IMO.

I’m sorry your burnt out but they don’t care. Most don’t care. Just survive and pay ur bills. If you have leverage you can try and corner your supervisor but most aren’t smart enough to do that to make change. Other than that or having an insider ally to help you. just survive till you can find something new. Your tone makes me think your team hates u and is working to push you out, good luck. If you’re having fragmented thoughts and confusion during the day see a therapist so you can get help. I didn’t do the soon enough and my team abused me into ptsd. So be careful and I hope your situation improves.

Guys. Trump is not going to tax offshore workers. It'd pi-s off his billionaire buddies too much. He is not our savior.

I feel the same way. But I have decided that with my position and years of service. I will continue to do my job, no more, no less. I have given them my 100%+. Recent events show it does not matter. They are more focused on putting the jobs offshore with HIH. Perhaps Trump has a Tariff/Tax for that. Either way they want me gone, then you will pay me to leave.

Let’s all take advantage of any of our benefits while we can. FMLA, short term disability, leave of absence, PTO, volunteer hours, etc. anything legally protected.

It’s an insurance company not an airport, no need to announce departures. You are free to find that company that treats you so well, spoiler they all su-k.

“many of your peers are in same place.” —agree!
Don’t be too much emotional. Calm down, find a better job, then quit.

Sadly, this is what they want and they're hoping you leave without severance. I'm sorry you feel deflated, but know that many of your peers are in same place.
