Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is this one about DXC

They bring in new staff on more money, and expect us to train them to do the job. If these people warrant a higher salary. They should know the role already. I don't just mean where's the tea room. I mean you give them the server address and they say yes I get. Not have to be trained like they've never seen anything like this before.

I have little intention of finding a new employer. I'm fed up with all the corporate bullsh-t. Decided I'd rather walk barefoot to the shops than buy a show off car that someone will try and take off me anyway.

Of course they do, this has been hoing on for 50 years that I know of. New staff the money is not worth the same as when you were hired so they get more!

If you are so upset, then find a new employer!

Could be but I've seen that story before. More than a couple of years old. Also, the fact that the story mentions someone received a promotion tells me it's not DXC. They just hire inexperienced low-cost resources at a lower job level and expect them to be able to do the job that is two job levels above their education and expertise.

Quite happy to help the grass behind me. Not going to push people already ahead in the hierarchy. Especially for no reward.
