Yes redeployment Tower semi purchased and OHio, not to mention NM and AZ building you have to rebalance. Dont want to move? Work elsewhere. Companies dont card about yoyr feelings.
It's weird to see people stressing so hard about this online, yet at my site (in the US) nobody is really even talking about it. I see no general change in activity or attitude despite what has been released in the media. I'm curious how that will change after today's earnings and the All Hands meeting.
@pit.. I don't think that will be the case since $$ will trunk ego specially for Pat that has to save and justify his 172m hiring bonus.
More realistic will see a minimum around the 10-12k mark. What Pat is doing this time is giving a "re-deployment" option so in that way it does look more generous and dignify in contrast to ACT-2016 but they close most open reqs few months ago as part of the plan, so it is all smoke and mirrors at the end ..
Anyways, I hope you are right since that means that the severance will be even more generous for those of us leaving. :)
Pat has more ego than mark zuckerberg. Zuck is sinking meta by heavily investing in metaverse and no layoffs. Same way Pat today will announce minimal layoffs < 5k to prove his ego. So don’t worry. Engineering and IFS are fully safe.
