Y'all probably not gonna believe this and disregard this post.
But I consider this as my duty to keep my fellow colleagues informed who might get impacted.
I'm surprised how the previous two layoff posts were dismissed.
Last year we had about 700 associates who were let go.
This year due to similar market conditions and compensation, expect cuts in April as well as Fall.
Of course this will only impact grade level 3-6. Grade 7 and above will continue their cushy role of literally doing nothing.
Post BME, reorganization or whatever you wanna call that circus, there has been many conversations which took place in multiple product and platform areas to trim the fat keeping in mind there's minimal to no impact on delivery streams.
With that in mind, if your manager is asking you to internally start focusing on something else while a very less deserving teammate who is on PIP gets the opportunity to "showoff him/herself" then be aware you're a candidate for upcoming fall layoffs....
As part of the restructuring one of the key decisions the chapter leads are tasked with is to eliminate "experienced team members".
Any new role in this firm takes 6-8 months to get fully ramped up, trust me I have spent 18 years in this company and I know when an individual is on the verge of being let go.
If you're being assigned to new team in say April, chances are you're being assigned as a captain of "sinking ship". Or you'll have unrealistic "goals / expectations".
You'll be under much more scrutiny, any small mishap on your part will have consequences as a result of "increased productivity requirements" by new BME standards.
Of course you can totally call this BS, but consider that you're being warned.
Good luck.
