Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

If the vendor wants to add you do you have the option to decline and take severance

I personally don't really trust an outside vendor and kind of wouldn't mind being released with severance. If the vendor wants you can you decline and take severance instead?

You are no longer an employee of Allstate when rebadged to the vendor so yes you lose all tenure. It as if you are a new hire to the vendor.

If you are transferred in employee to the vendor do you lose your tenure too? Is everyone like a new employee of the vendor?

No, if you’re selected for rebadge and decline, you are choosing to quit with no severance. In rebadged scenarios, Allstate believes that they are offering comparable employee and benefits therefore severance is not necessary.

The message that I heard was if you’re being rebadged you don’t have the option for the severance. You would only have the option for severance if you were eliminated.

If you are rebadged to the vendor and decline then you are essentially quitting by choice with no severance. This was asked in our meeting today. The rebadging does not give you a choice. You become a transferred in employee of the vendor.
