Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I thought CL was going to be the next CIO

It seemed like he was being groomed to be successor for BB. Then they brought this robot LC whose sole expertise is offshoring jobs. Then he puts the same people in the boxes below him that got us into this non-peer leading performance. What a mess.

Now they put "Technical Manager" roles under level 3 chart. Non of the managers are technical. They can't write a for loop if their life dependent on it.

They said he left because of Houston move… don’t believe that for a second. If he was CIO he’d go to houston… I’m not sure what management sees in LC and I honestly dont understand how they see him as a better fit over CL. Cl is great with people and at least cares and engages…..so now we don’t have security lead or a decent CIO.

MN and EB with their big misstep

CL is going to be the CISO for his new company for only 1-2 years, and then CIO. That’s why he left.

Yeah, mostly same people from CEO on down. That quintile chart showed a long steady decline over several years. So plenty of warnings all around, but can't think of a single action any of those folks took over that time that would have materially improved the performance.
