Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Evolve IT - weren’t CS, AC, RS, MC, and MA part of the leadership team

That gave us the wildly successful chapter/platform model and Imagine IT design?

This time will be different?

It was Spotify. And it was a Gartner report that got JM, the lead of ImagineIT all excited about it.

JM also redesigned ERP, broke SAP into chapters and sc--wed everything up. The data org was designed by CM, the “tech expert” in strategy, but who was not technical at all. We had all these people who retired designing the dumpster fire.

Hopefully the people who are designing stuff this time around will be able to eat their own dog food

MA has never produced anything. Fu-k, he was telling us that block chain would radically change Chevron. He’s all talk and show. What a waste.

JM led imagine IT and retired, yeah. But I don’t think it was her brainchild so much as her doing the work.

The story I heard was that Amazon did a presentation to the nifty fifty - this was during the NADC sale negotiations - and everyone was bowled over by the potential of chapters and platforms.

AC was in Australia and pretty far removed from imagineIT. MC was also not on that design team, and merely an advisor to the ousted EN. But everyone else, yea

ImagineIT was really led by that GM lady who retired that same year... they are just following the flag. Now they have to follow the new CIO... It could be different because the new CIO who is not Chevronized will also get his "own people" for those interim GM roles. Those people will then get their own people... and down it goes...
