Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

More layoffs after Q1?

Is this just a rumor or is it happening?

Learned more to come after Q1, probably 2% RIF company wide. (Do the math, that's about 800+ people company wide.

“It was local” - yeah, and? By that logic L3 has layoffs every month across its 60+ locations. Maybe there weren’t any in December.

April is Rockwall, per WARN notice. Clifton in January. Alpharetta another month. One month was Greenville. Multiple different months were Aerojet, different facilities. IMS sites in various months.

Obviously people coming here are asking about company wide, not 10 people that got laid off in one building at a local site. Stop being obtuse.

Again, if you say “there will be layoffs” every single month, eventually you will right. And especially if your criteria is a single group, building, or site.

We absolutely had layoffs in October here in Palm Bay/Melbourne. It was local and not multi-site like the March 2025 or April 2024 layoffs.

Everyone keeps pointing to “the rumors here were right” but they are only right half the time.

Everyone here said October 2024 layoffs - there weren’t any. No one seems to remember there weren’t, either.

I guess if you post about layoffs once a month you’ll eventually get it right and then everyone will say “this was predicted, they were right!”

I think half of these rumors are HR trying to keep everyone who remains afraid. I think they find it hilarious to come here and see us all asking “are they over? Will there be more??” and then to respond “yes more coming!!”

Increased attrition, so probably won't need a RIF

The most recent layoffs were fortold by rumors weeks ago and they were right. We've heard more RIFs this year of 2 to 3% after the quarterly report. They have already decided on at least 1% in the coming months.
