Unfortunately, it is what it is and Chevron has made a decision not to attract IT talent to help grow its business. If business leaders what solutions, they always look to IT to help accelerate. Try running your business with Teams, SAP, or the various PCN tools we have. If cutting 30-40% is your goal then be prepared for the same reduction in results.
"they don't want to freak everyone out"
Glad that's working, not sure why people are panicking and hitting up my phone.
Min 30% max 40% in 2025.
Every person who debated EOI during the last transformation made the decision two years ago that they would take the package the next time around. That time is now.
The Chevron Way is dead, replaced by the McKinsey Way. Going forward there will be fewer of us around that remember it.
A reason for being mum on staffing levels might be because cuts will vary a lot by function and they don't want to freak everyone out. We are a wellhead-gas pump company. The closer you are to either the better. Some jobs are easier to move to a place with no petrotech skills or completely automate with AI. Zuckerberg says AI will replace coders in 2025. I suspect a lot of those types of traditional IT jobs in the US will suffer.
Richmond - "That's a nice lunch you got there"
And may the odds be ever in your favor.
SR - Open, but only populated during free lunch day.
Everyone should reach out to LC at his open office door, MS Teams or by email
You gotta be kidding me
Houston - stay home. Building is unsafe
Buenos Aeries - it’s hot, I hope you’re working from home.
San Ramon - perfect weather. Never closed.
We don’t benchmark against “contemporaries”. We benchmark against “competitors”. This guys language skills are fu--ing embarrassing
IT Infrastructure still missing from Houston column = no bueno for those folks
@ap+1jnpfhwvj
LC stated the total IT count will remain the same, but to staff up in other countries the US IT employee count will need to decrease by 40% to 50%.
Approx 400 IT employees in SR + Houston and the field offices = ???
Matt was part of the last transformation which is now identified as an utter failure. You want accountability? Fire everyone involved in creating Chapters that’s accountability
Cough - Cough....
Sorry what was the question.
Half a-s answer it...
Cough - Cough....
She ignored the #1 question. They know U.S. based IT will make up 40% of total IT workforce yet refuse to give us actual headcount’s. Les told us he would always be transparent. Lying POS. Also, he’s likely got a neurological condition with all that rockin back and forth and the SEC should probably be told that a senior executive has brain issues.
This is painful to watch them try to clearly answer questions…no?
Will be sla-ghtered ruthlessly @ad+1jnpfhwvj
They know exactly numbers. They don't want to destroy everyone's morale.
And there’s the indigestion! It wasn’t just the Filipino food last time.
Rocking and sniffing again!
They are looking at top VOTED questions. Thumbs up doesn’t count
No, no - the headcount question was not answered with the pie chart. Why the shiftiness? Do they not know final headcount ranges, or are they afraid to further torpedo morale?
Newbies and offshore are safe. How are we supposed to execute? How many in Horizons won’t be in scope? Is it a small %?
What about POs and Subchapter heads?
I take it you're not in Shipping IT.
I’m getting sea sick with the rocking.
You’re being asked to KT but doesn’t mean you won’t have your job. Say what????
Glad they’re so transparent
correction, thats how many will go. just a guess here from what was said but you can get an idea if you know how many IT employees we have in the us
@a7+1jnpfhwvj ~2,100 IT employees in US right now...only 40% percent will be in US by end of 2026. so about 1,360 US jobs will stay.
only 1 US location. how many will that be? Let’s get to how many gone from US IT
JFC, “Bonos Aris”. How in the he-l did this schmo end up in charge?
@a1+1jnpfhwvj also "laser focused"
“Peer leader in run and maintain efficiency “. They can stop the rest of the disingenuous justifications and hand waving around working together.
Let's go waterboarding i mean whiteboarding......
They don’t need to drain the slide on why chapter model didn’t work. I’m not even sure AG would defend it.
New drinking game - take a shot every time he says “unlocking value for the enterprise”.
