Its 1 week of severance for every year of employment, with a minimum of 4 weeks, up to 12 weeks for non director level and below.
Severance is based on how long the person has been employed with Belk.
People we know laid off so far got 9 weeks pay for severance.
Company culture is in the shi**er! First no bonus, then RTO, now layoffs. Going to be hard to recover from the hit it took
RVP’s and GvP’s are draining belk. Over $250,00 for GvPs working 4 days a week.
Corporate employee here and I just came to say I’m terrified. May the odds be ever in your favor….
Has anyone heard what the severance package is?
anyone have any idea when additional layoffs are likely to happen? before or after RTO?
Source on that there will be more rounds?
Heard there were about 60ish from corporate that were laid off this week.
There's a lot more coming. This is just the first of three rounds. Belk has shown their true colors! START LOOKING NOW before you get sc--wed!
Has anyone seen the official number of how many were cut?
They need to get rid of those RVP’S while they’re at it!! Those VP’s need to start earning their money.
I know people who were laid off and they were Charlotte locals. So it’s not just those who had to choose Commuter or Relocate.
Going to be a skeleton crew at corporate come summer. I’m glad the New York office was cheap!
Yeah I think it’s fair to assume everyone that chose commuter is leaving the company. I guess paying for the flights is the equivalent to their severance
It's funny, bc most of the RTO people chose commuter benefits and the majority are looking for other jobs bc they don't want to move to CLT.
Not to mention the millions flying 100+ ppl in every week for half a year is gonna cost
Wonder if not as many quit because of the RTO as they expected..?
Lots been hit, across all silos.
Business is bad and the RTO is incredibly expensive.
Nope, IT is getting hit now!
Is it mostly affecting buying teams?
Just like bankruptcy already....
