Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

AIP/Layoff question

Has anyone got their AIP that was laid off for a few months last year then came back to the company?
Ex: worked from January 2024 to May 2024, was laid off from May 2024 to July 2024 then worked from July 2024 to December 2024

How was your AIP impacted? Did you still get one? Was it for the whole year minus the months you didn’t work? Did they only pay you for the time that you returned to the company? (July to December)

Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated. I’m assuming they’re going to frame the rules so that you get the least amount of payout possible, if you get a payout at all.

I was told at my RIF (also 2/28) that bonus/AIP would only be issued to those employed on the date of issuance. I’ll have to wait and see if I get a deposit this Friday. Not expecting it, but I’ll take it if it appears.

My last day was 2/28/25 due to RIF. No one told me what my bonus amount would be, I am hearing rumors of different percentages, but how did everyone who is gone find out the official figure?

I was rifd a decade ago with the last day being early April. I was rehired and started mid June of the same year. My AIP for that period was prorated from June.

Laid off Sept 2024. Just got news of my AIP, which is about 25% of last year’s. Reason given was company performance.

Well, how convenient for the company that rule is. I am starting to think the Execs set around all day trying to think of more ways to sc--w over the workers, so their checks get even fatter. They don't make these decisions for the good of the members or the overall health of the company. They do it to pad their own pockets.

If you have a break in service, AIP is calculated using rehire date. Also you have to be rehired by Oct 1st for AIP. Anything after Oct doesn’t count for that year.

I was laid off in August and rehired in September. If you were rehired by Oct 1st then you were eligible for prorated AIP. I only collected sub pay for two weeks. But AIP wages were only counted from September forward. So even though I contributed for basically all year minus 2 weeks. I got a fraction of AIP I would’ve received. I guess the silver lining was AIP su-ked for everyone. It is what it is. At least I have a job

Good luck getting your AIP They sc--wed us out of so much money this year managers put in for one thing higher-ups changed it to another, make it even across the board, but you got employees who are higher ranked than some of us and do way less and now they’re gonna get more of a bonus for doing absolutely nothing. This is just a ridiculous joke. I don’t understand how you run a company and take peoples bonuses that they earned.

I don’t know about other departments but GBD (Medicare) BH AIP was 30% of the previous year’s AIP. What a joke! And a 2% raise. I used to say that the AIP made up for such cr-ppy raise amounts but not now. I can’t wait to leave!!

I assumed that I would get AIP for the year minus the months I was laid off. But I’m hearing that might not be the case. I just wanted to know if someone could confirm.
