I have been seeing random coworkers getting removed from chats and no longer active on teams. Had it just been one person, I wouldn’t be concerned, but a few different people have been removed now. Any news on if they are starting layoffs under the table? I’m terrified, especially with the state of the U.S. currently.

@28k The comment about someone separating from the company has already checked out is very untrue. A lot of hard working employees have been let go. I was one and liked my job and worked diligently every day.
I have been here only a short 3yrs. But fact checking I do believe Molina was started in 1980 as a single clinic. My point being it is possible someone could have started there and now been with the Molina Umbrella for 45yrs. Just an observation…
David Molina started Molina as a health insurance company in 1994 but you’ve been here 30+ years? Don’t you hate it when facts and math shows you’re a liar?
That’s true. You’re right in that not all people are lazy that get RIF’d. Having said that, this company is also full of lazy slugs…and I mean lazy! My dept. is probably at capacity with laziness. I would honestly say 75%. The leader is not that bad, heck even I’m one of the lazy one’s. Just so you leaders on here know, you won’t get much outta me! I doubt they will get rid of me- I got 30+yrs so I’ve survived and will continue to survive. Peace!
Wouldn’t it be great if people were so stupid to believe your bullsh-t. Plenty of people get fired or laid off and they are great employees. This line that staff that are cut are lazy or bad is just d-mb and the people who say that always say But I Was Great when they get cut. Nice try but we aren’t stupid.
We learned during Project Nickel that people who are laid off took it personally and stole proprietary documents or used jabber as a sounding board, sent emails to executive leaders inappropriately, etc. The natural recourse is that IT is ready to terminate all access immediately as soon as they are notified that a termination discussion has ended. This is also the reason separating employees are terminated immediately upon giving notice. Someone who is separating has already checked out so they tend to not work efficiently and a separating employee does not need access to proprietary information.
I work at corporate as well- onsite and never remote so I feel like some of these rumors (past/present) usually are true. I heard today the big wave is on the way! Buckle down folks!
It’s not foreign. It’s sad. Like stalking an ex who dumped you on Instagram for any bit of information. If someone doesn’t want you then you shouldn’t want them either. You should move on and not look back! It doesn’t matter if the company prospers or dies because you should be so consumed with creating your future that you don’t think about them for a second. Your life is ahead and Molina isn’t there. That’s all. Let the rest of us try to figure out if we’re getting laid off or if the company su-ks. You already had your experience and they su-ked to you. So I hope you start focusing on the future you and not the past you. And never put all of yourself in a company because they’ll never care about you. Take that lesson to your next job. A job should never define any of us anyway. I wish you all good things.
Correct. As are many others. Why is that so foreign to you
So you got laid off 3 months ago and keep checking lay-off about a company you aren’t even with anymore?
I work at corp and I’m not remote. So the person saying everyone is remote is out of their mind. I was let go 3 months ago and while I don’t have a p-o p-o fetish I now wish I would have left them a treat after the way they treated me!!!
I have talked to management about this and was told we are good The agents that were removed from chats were let go due to performance issues. On the bright side we have been a very successful dept so hopefully that is taken into consideration if further changes are made.
The WARN Act is only implemented when 50 or more employees are being laid off. If they lay off less than that or do not close a facility they don’t even have to report to the state.
OK smarty pants. When was the last time a WARN notice was published? I guarantee the company has had layoffs since. If you are so in tune to the company then you would know a VP was job eliminated last week and the whole downline is going through a change. It was announced internally, but you obviously were not part of the announcement, have a little birdie or are smart enough to visually see people 'disappearing' from work. And let's not forget not everyone works remotely. Molina still has offices with staff. Stop trolling your coworkers, we have enough sh-t to deal with.
So your assertion is that they magically don't have to adhere to certain State's law of Duty to Warn? And For those leaving vague posts -we know you're lying because there is no reason to be vague here.
You got walked out when everyone works from home? You’re gross and an id--t. Losing a job isn’t funny and people worrying isn’t funny. I wouldn’t want to work with you and your po-p fetish. This is people’s actual lives.
I got walked out today. I knew it was coming. I took the advice of the previous post and stopped by the bathroom closest to the execs and I dropped a nasty dice- no flush. I’m out…
Job termination happen this week just not announce yet
Yeah, as soon as upper leadership finalizes with HR, they terminate the employee immediately. It's not going to be like Project Nickel where everyone was notified few months in advanced. They're just terminating on the spot.
