Thread regarding Follett layoffs

TL to speak at the University Club

Just read on Linked-In that TL will be speaking on an upcoming panel at the University Club. It mentions that he "recently led the divestiture of the three Follett Business entities (FHEG, FSS, and B&T), along with Follett Corp". Having been a 30+ year associate, the positive spin of "successes" makes me vomit in my mouth a little.

I've noticed the same thing lately for AK and B&T. All kinds of "Success" awards and recognition. It's a good gig when you lead a business off the rails so you can gather your investor buddies and buy for pennies on the dollar.

Wish they'd call it what it is. FAILURE!!! Can I hope someone asks TL some hard questions? I won't hold my breath.

AK from B&T is buying awards and posting them on LinkedIn. Don't be fooled. Every award he has been "given" is pay to play. Look them up. The need for adulation is comical. He knows that everyone can see through him.

The perspective of a failed Jostens rep, failed direct marketing scheme huckster and a privileged failure of a safe family business will be valuable. Perhaps a lengthy talk on the foundation of capitalism; With risk comes reward can be his topic. If that doesn't work, how to recruit narcissists and goons to do your dirty work while rewarding the least talented executives one can stomach, could be another fun topic.

The average family owned business in America lasts 5 generations.

Follett lasted 5 generations.

So what is TL going to brag about? Follett Family is average?

University Club is just a bunch of rich people that like to think they're smarter than everyone else. What's that about being born on 3rd base?

Q: What do TL, ML, CF, MLS, SS, DG, RM, CW and all the other that have been bad mouthed on this site for the last decade have in common? A: They have all moved on and are much happier to have Follett in their past.
