I need the job, don’t get me wrong, but watching competent and skilled people being let go has been incredibly demoralizing. The way these layoffs have been handled only adds to the doubt, distrust, and uncertainty surrounding our professional engagement and dedication. I truly hope those who were laid off land on their feet soon, and that those of us who remain don’t end up regretting being overlooked this time.

I wish I learned one valuable skill at Oracle. I was there for 15 years and nothing of what I learned can be used today. Even worse, how I saw human beings act and the shady things I witnessed really made me realiIze how bad people can be. I didn't know any better at the time, but it was easily the biggest mistake of my life. Granted, I am still alive and thankfully have an opportunity to re-invent myself in any industry, but that time investment we make.....we can't get back. I think the Karma train gonna hit a lot of the bad folks. There's just no reason to make people's lives harder than they are. It's a very bad trait, but I saw it from my first day...to my last day in my unit of Oracle. They know who they are.

Doubtful. This seems like a last minute cut to make share holders happy cos the money spent number is lower.
