What are the bizarre tech updates that come with a one hour notice on macs and then just shut off and restart with no warning. These are very different than normal tech update notifications. Anyone else getting these? There is no info for what is being updated.

Small micro-aggressions like this are how companies like Nike weed people out before lay offs. Maybe you've heard it called "Quiet Firing" or "Constructive Termination."
Either way, there are entire departments dedicated to hassling employees so they quit. You are right to have conspiracy theories.
Have you had problems with OKTA? You're probably on a list. Is your computer running too slowly? Yep, probably getting fired. Can't connect your printer? Buddy, you better just start packing it up now.
