Guys said the 26th of March in another post this one seems reasonable since it is on a Wednesday. If that doesn't come to fruition then I would say after earnings in May. Since in 2023 the layoffs occured in May then Feb 2024 after Jan earnings. That will be my educated guess.

I'll give you some advice: If you are actually worried about being laid off then you either shouldn't be worrying over something you cannot control, or you should be looking for a new job right now instead of worrying. Anyone on this website is by definition deeply unserious

This place is not serious. All you guys do is work up people about layoffs and not serious about getting actual details.

There won't be layoffs in March. Ted wants you to leave on your own. You feel off because your position and work are ultimately useless and you need to leave.

Veteran here, the office has been feeling off. Between March to May would be my guess with no evidence, just that sense having been through it every year since forever

Goldman layoffs just came over the wire, only a matter of time now before MS news breaks

I call bs. Ted is against mass layoffs because they are expensive and it's a thing of the past. There won't be any anytime soon so stop panicking or counting on them. But you can be fired for low performance without severance any time.

I got 0 base increase and 0 bonus. I might be laid off as my manager cancelled 1-1’s, I don’t have any work.

What happens in RIF? Do we get 1 month buffer time? Do we get severance?

I know in my department (virtual client services) the stack ranking is VERY real. Every RIF we've been through has been based off of where you're placement is on that stack ranking.
My manager said, "It would be in your best interest to ensure you do everything within your power to be far away from the bottom of the stack before the end of March."
Take that however you will.

Lol the 55+ thing that another poster referenced is pretty funny. More than ever older workers are becoming increasingly attractive to employers. The younger generation has shown an inability to perform basic functions, more likely to disregard wto mandates, and have overall abysmal work ethics.

Lots of chatter about RIFs in march in WM/Ops

There are no more massive layoffs at MS as I said in another post. There's a change in strategy when they're counting on attrition because they don't want to waste money on severance. You're feeling off because your job is most likely useless, and you'll either quit yourself because of depression caused by understanding your uselessness or will be fired for low performance.

Since the last cut was May 2023, and a change in the White House, a RIF is all but a certainty.

If your 360 was even slightly blemished, or you’re 55+, you won’t be working for MS much longer.

I said the same thing, but people were saying that I was trolling. I was the OP for the Maybe layoffs thread a few posts back.

You are not the only one with that feeling.
