Honestly, the simple answer is: Knowing what I have seen over the years, it is nice to have a possible chance to roll to the bench and find another role while maintaining a paycheck if things do go sideways. It was a rocky start, but I saw something in Accenture that I did not see on the other side. Improved concern and guidance for careers, and actual promotions and pay raises of people I knew. It will take time, but I will take that as a bit of evidence of being in a better environment. if you worry about being able to find another position, do good work and train on new skills that you think you might need to get a position that would interest you. The training opportunities are there. Nobody will do it for you though. You have to roll up your sleeves and go for it. If you don't know where to start, ask a manager, or a buddy you trust, or even ask the chat bot. It is not that hard to get an answer. It is not likely that anyone will actively get in your way. If you need to get over some perceived insult to your ego before you can focus on your work, start with that. You will find some people with similar complaints everywhere. Some managers and some workers are better than others. My strategy has been to figure it out and make the best of it, or go find that greener pasture.

  • Mileage may vary based on how hard you hit the gas, what gear you are in, and whether or not you are riding the brake.

On May 14, 2024, most of IT was fired that day by Kim Mackenroth, who had only been with L3H for several months to Kubasik's dirty bidding. The good news for them is that they both likely got huge bonuses for 2024. Since that time, this whole thing has been a huge mess. No one cares on the ACN or L3H side. Communication from ACN is pretty much non-existent. Morale has been super low since last May but no one cares, especially ACN. When we do have meetings, they are about adding more notes in SNOW, which could've been done, had we all not been fired by them. ACN hasn't a clue on what to do. HR for ACN are rude and lazy. Dipit and Tarun don't even want to bother with any of us as they don't hold any meetings to address the low morale, the contract with L3H or anything else for that matter. What we get now are last minute, urgent emails to update skills, PTO and etc. This leads people to believe the end is near and that the contract is ending soon. Based on an earlier comment in this thread, I've also heard that about 80% of us will be laid off. I have heard it could be happening within the next month from a very reliable source. L3H had made the decision in March to go with Infosys but no known date has been given. I'm doing everything that I can to find a job to get out of this chaos. There are too many uncertainties and it's pretty obvious that ACN and L3H could are less about us, especially since L3H stabbed us all in the back last May and then proceeded to dig the kn--e in deeper by rolling more and more people off. I am glad people are quitting. I hope more quit before this thing implodes, which is going to happen. Never have I been a part of something thrown together so poorly. No one puts in the LOE they did when they were L3H.
My advice, if you aren't looking now, do it before it's too late or you will either be laid off, with only being able to collect up to 6 months of unemployment benefits or risk getting forced on an ACN project that requires 100% travel on a weekly basis. For those of you that have not done consulting before, you will have no work life balance whatsoever. Consultants are expected to have no life and only serve ACN and the client like slaves. We can only hope they get rid of Kubasik and Kim at some point for botching this all up. I hope they get to feel all the pain we've been through. F-ck them, f-ck L3H and f-ck ACN for this whole nightmare we've all been living through since last May.

"get out while you can"

Pretty sure the majority of folks would take a $imilar position at another company if it was an option. Plenty have left, tough market for highly specialized people, not like they just quit, that is illogical.

My guess is they are getting rid of the SAP roadmap and moving forward with Oracle...they hired a lizard from GE and pretty sure they use Infosys

I am guessing the baseball themed rah rah, awesome place to work didn't sway you? My favorite part is the mvp's - I think they just keep mentioning the same people over and over, great way to build morale amongst 500 people - single out a few "leads". My "lead" doesn't even know how to do what the team does, no idea what this guy did for the last several years, ki$$ a$$ I guess, popular trait in their culture.

Wow, I want to chime in on the comments already made. L3H has really went into the dump. After all the loyalty employees have shown L3H they in turn fired and forced their IT to join Accenture. Talk about one of the worst consulting companies. They are NOT transparent as they say they do. They also say they do this sort of thing all the time. If they do then why don’t they know the process? Are the HR people not skilled or have no idea what to do. The hag, Kim, did not deliver any of this message correctly to everyone. She sent a mandatory meeting for IT to attend to just tell them all they are fired. She basically told them all they don’t matter and can easily be thrown away. What will they do next? I have never seen morale this low ever! Great job Kim, I’m sure you got a big bonus for ruining people’s work lives! I hope she finally gets the boot.
I don’t think anyone can really express how pi---d and hurt we all are about this whole situation.

I wouldn't call it 'Sent to Accenture', I would call it fired by LHX and forced to go to ACN or not have a paycheck. It's truly been an awful experience. I would go as far as to say a total nightmare. It really feels like LHX threw us out like garbage. They basically fired us and then forced us to support them, yet, have already been telling ACN to start getting rid of us as of a few months ago. I can probably speak for everyone that we didn't want to go back to consulting or to even get into consulting. This is a huge step backwards for all of us. ACN doesn't have a clue what they are doing. Those over this account don't communicate and keep us in the dark on everything. From what is circulating around, LHX will move on from ACN and go with Infosys soon. Had heard that ACN might keep 20% for their projects that require weekly travel and that about 80% will be laid off. I hope people are prepared for what's about to hit us all. Just like May 2024, they are about to throw us in the trash, yet again. My advice, get out while you can or risk being laid off in a few months.

guess you get what you get when you hire a former employee to lead an integration effort, good decision by L3, do they still plan to convert all those divisions?

LAYTON, Utah, Nov. 29, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- SoVerry Inc. announced today that it has secured a contract with L3Harris Technologies to provide IT consulting services for the L3Harris DOD Implementation Project. This major software project, in which nearly 20 divisions will be brought onto L3Harris's SAP system, is expected to continue over several years. SoVerry, which was formed only recently, has been awarded an initial one-year contract with possibility of extension.

"After working on numerous IT projects over many years, the time finally felt right to start my own IT consulting company," said Ralph Sullivan, President and Principal SAP Technical Consultant at SoVerry. "Even though I was convinced I was adequately prepared, it's still something of a leap of faith to start a new company and go from quite literally zero to, well, who knows? What I do know is that the L3Harris DOD contract is an important win that will ensure that SoVerry gets off to a solid start."

Kim shipped off 500 highly skilled employees that kept the company running, in the most disrespectful way last year. “Embrace the opportunities”, she said. “We’re one team”, she said, as she cast us away like Trump is deporting illegal immigrants. We’re being paid the same, but you know ACN is charging more for our services. I’m afraid the writing is on the wall: shipping us to Accenture as contractors means she can easily cut the workforce without paying severance. Some people have already been pulled from the contract and put on the bench to find other work. I won’t be surprised if they make further decisions to cut more stuff from the contract without warning.

LHX is a weird company. They get rid of a couple hundred folks that actually did the IT work, yet they retain the fat at the top and still have org after org of shadow IT. Entire departments labeled as business intelligence analysts, why? These people have spent the last 10 years doing the same thing daily, playing with data and looking for some non existent patterns. You would think they would have an entire array of solutions at this point.

If L3H had issues with transparency on what work was being performed, perhaps they should engage the management that is sponsoring and supervising the work. All of those resources must be huge drivers in innovation and cost savings because they kept them all. It is an org full of project managers framing work.

L3H has already changed the contract causing Accenture (ACN) to move some people off the job. Not sure if those people will find additional work at Accenture “sitting on the bench” or will be let go. Rumor mill is that L3H had no idea how much work I.T. was doing because almost all of it was being reported as maintenance, but numerous teams support development and end customer efforts.

The promise, per the L3H press release, was this would be better for the employees with additional training. Nope. No training except for the same stupid stuff everyone must do such as ethics, and high level AI cr-p.

The ACN leaders seems clueless, have very bad communications skills, and I assume more people will be let go since reducing the higher paying employees and replacing with cheap labor would allow ACN to increase their profit margin as L3H squeezes the contract dollars. Writing is on the wall! Get out ASAP.

The best part about it is talking to your old peers and even management that are still employed with L3H and they talk to you like you are old pals.

If things were going so great, I doubt they would be asking us for suggestions on how to improve or sending us Gallup engagement polls. My uninformed, demoted to contractor opinion, the people managing this have no clue what they are doing or are looking at.
