Although my official year end performance rating (the one documented on OneSource) is “Met Expectations”, I was told that I actually received a “Low Met”. Is this bad? Am I at the risk of being pushed to “Partially Met”? Thanks!

I was told by my boss I just barely ME after busting my butt. Tbh I'm not sure I'll ever rate a solid ME much less an EE. That's a pipe dream!
Straight to jail
Meets is a meets
Low meets is still a meets but your manager got pressured to ding you because USAA leadership is tired of coasting slackers and some folks are getting caught in the net like tuna bycatch
I would be proactive about improving and directly ask your manager for 1 on 1s and track areas for improvement with your manager
This will give them a great “I coached so and so to be better” talking point for their EOY
If you’re DNM or PM that’s where you’re looking at someone trying to get you tossed
The era of “everyone gets a meets unless they REALLY su-k” is over
Sounds like a justification to make a downward shift in your bonus % and salary increase % as compared to someone that was at the higher end of the Met Expectations range.
I know a few people who were let go this week due to a bad EOY. This one girl on the team next to mine, she went in for her EOY on Monday, never saw her again. It wasn’t until I ran into her earlier today picking up our kids from school when she told me they let her go, reason they gave “the work she’s accomplished is below what is required for someone with her job title (she was an APO), and she was being let go.”
Ok thanks for all the perspectives. I was also told it’d be more difficult to get a Met Expectation this year…so we will see.
Yes, you are. If you don’t change something you will be placed on a performance improvement plan. You need to improve your performance to avoid this. Ask your manager to be specific about what would be “met”. Check in often and do not avoid this discussion.
Voice dictation at its best. I was trying to say manager discretion.
In the end, it’s really hard to manage your discretion, but you got an ME so you’re fine for now
