Phillips is looking to sell CP Chem and Chevron has a rofr. Think we will buy it? Or too distracted with reorgs and Hess?

They made a reference to increasing production with CP Chem in the midstream Townhall. I am not in that vertical so I did not know about the sale opportunity but I can see it happening to increase growth.
What about buying BP?

They should buy it. MW was featured in an Financial Times article in 2023 saying he was open to it.
Chevron has no real means of growth other than gobbling up other oil and chemical companies. I think Chevron will definitely try despite cash flowgoals, mainly to deflect from the upcoming loss of Venezuela crude and a likely loss to Exxon over the Hess arbitration.
