In the event you are let go you will see the disconnection of your outlook on your phone. They will not be capable of accessing your computer if it is not on a network allowing you to move data that you need off of that machine.

Isn’t your CEO a lawyer?
Not all lawyers. Just our incompetent lawyers. But what do you expect from a guy that leads our legal department who attended these institutions - West Liberty University and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. I am not saying we need to have someone from Stanford or Yale law but these bottom of the barrel places are not where we should bring in our general counsel. This is Chicago and not a West Virginia Appalachian town. What a joke!

It's funny that they supposedly monitor people who go on this site, and even funnier that people are worried about it. So what? If the SLT did a good job, people wouldn't post on this site. If they could actually foster a better culture there would be defenders on this site. It's SLT's fault that coworkers are spending time here reading and posting truths. We are now openly talking about The Layoff in my department, and even laughing in front of our managers about some of the crazy posts and ignorant, out of touch SLT strategies. Thats how bad our culture has become. CDW is just a paycheck to most now, people don't want to work here because of this site and the sh---y pay, so the death spiral continues. Great job SLT!
Yes agreed. Keep your contacts and anything else you want. And disconnect automatic passwords to any sites (banking, social media, etc.) because they will own those and turn your email tabs desktop to your supervisor for monitoring for a year.
Security compliance will also check you out and your social media pages to see if you are a threat to cdw or a drinker or own g-ns. Turn off your public views and other accessible sites. Also, even if you erase emails, they can get them all so be careful.
And like they said in other posts , they monitor who goes on this site on the CDW WiFi and on their devices. So use your personal computers and phones.

Just the fact that this thread exists shows how dysfunctional the 6:00AM layoff email last fall was. That was handled incredibly badly and should have been a discussion offering people severance who chose to leave. Now the company has been fixated on potential April layoffs, especially in areas such as healthcare and K-12 education. I am not sure how we got to the point that from an organizational development perspective that we thought that the way these layoffs occurred was acceptable.vut the damage has been done with a significant percentage of talent choosing to leave as soon as their RSUs have vested. This environment has become toxic and we''re all sick of the "All Weather Team" spin.
No political answers. Pull everything now. They can shut everything down and eliminate your aces immediately so pull it. Remember, this is the team that can even access your email without you knowing. They can take out your phone contacts and info too. Start working on it now. And don’t have saved passwords on personal email services, sites, social media, and other items. They will have complete access to those too so log off every time and change your password if you get laid off.
You must have Intellectual Property that you clearly created that you may want a copy of.
Because maybe there is information I want to refer back to later. There is a fine line re: work product.
Why would you want to remove anything from your laptop? You shouldn’t have any personal files on there - and anything you produced belongs to CDW.
Sure it can work. It isn't that you're trying to stop them from getting the data, it's that you may want the data too. While I would back everything up no, that extra half day could make a difference.
Of course there is nothing confirmed. It is just some je-k trying to scare people with a post. CDW had a good Q4 earnings release. If that continues there is no need for a round of layoffs.
