Agile my ***.
Between all the freezes and tickets and feudal lords protecting their turfs, Met is anything but agile.
The Cary move was supposed to fix that, but even with all the interviews, they failed to root it out.
When they fire Pappy, I'll believe they are serious about changing things.
Summary of past two days:
- We su-k at communicating our value to external stakeholders
- We need to be Agile but supposedly 98% of our workforce has been trained in Agile. Guess that training did nothing?
- We need to work together better but we're already great at collaborating (which one is it???)
- Culture is important but we're not going to hold anyone accountable to it
- More work for managers with no more resources to execute or to reward our teams for a job well done.
HR probably wonders why we can't recruit good talent.
There is definitely a disconnect between what the leadership SAYS about AI and reality.
It is odd we have to beg to get a license to be more productive.
Why, you may ask?
I don't know.
AI won't be taking over MetLife jobs anytime soon, despite the faux sense of urgency. My multi-billion dollar LOB leadership already informed us there is no budget for co pilot licenses and we should "take turns" using the handful of licenses they were willing to spend money on. Such a winning strategy. We will for sure be in a Category of One.
At least Coach K was interesting.
But but he has a suit jacket on. He must really mean business this time.
Love the ending.
Goodbye plebes. Now the real meeting with the CFO begins, but just for the beautiful people.
Here's a video on passwords for till you get a clue and hang up...
"Category of One"???
Delusional.
He just used the General's phrase of 'connective tissue'. Oh Emmm Geee. This is enough hot air to float a building.
for the past 30 minutes, he's talked but has said absolutely nothing.
you mean the buzzphrase fest of nothing?
