The more managers and overturn a team has will your clue that you found the right team to torture you into submission and become the corporate yes bot you've always dreamed of becoming. If youve ever dreamed of reporting to managers who make up their own rules and completely disregard ethics you are welcomed here. Micromanage you to death but ask for guidance, training, tools and support you are on your own island. If you love a toxic and unhealthy environment please apply and we welcome fresh blood to drain and healthy mind to destroy. Look for the team with a manager for 2 or 3 reports. Its how we are really able to dedicate time to destroying an employee's well being.

Really liked JW to start but with time the mask fell off. Easy for leaders at that level to smile, pretend to be kind and empathetic while hiding their hands. Truth be told, he allows his managers (some he has a personal friendship with) to ruin the culture with toxic and unethical behavior. He pretends to promote development however prevents development (not in budget excuse) to justify legally why there are pay discrepancies and inequalities on a team. Wonders why survey results are in toilet and instead of holding his managers accountable and making some changes that would improve morale, he targets a specific team. Every suggested change in their control gets shut down by a "managing committee". Best thing I did was to go to another bank. I suggest getting out before they really cut you where it hurts.

Is this CBB risk run by JW? Always found him to be a very nice man and believe he is well respected within the bank. What happened?

The decision to leave CBB Risk was the best I could have made. There is zero accountability in leadership there. Its not as toxic in other areas at the bank.

Dont stress about the negative comments. There are always some that support and defend this behavior. Most likely they are guilty of treating others that way. I found this post humorous.

Glad to hear you left, gives me hope! Sadly, I am experiencing the same. Been here a long time and it really used to be a great place to work. They put the wrong people in leadership and management unfortunately. Trying to get out!

  1. I did leave due to this behavior and rotten culture. This is how I can speak to what myself and many other coworkers who also left had experienced
  2. I can now look back and find humor in what a nightmare it was. It helps with recovering from the toxicity of it all.
  3. Im whiny and incoherent? Look where youre employed and who you work with. Then ask yourself if this post is so beneath you, why did you feel the need to respond. Says more about you than the whiny, incoherent post you got defensive about. Take a good hard deep look at yourself. Why even respond?
