Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Looks like agency is closing - what happens to brokered policies?

Please help me and answer this with kindness. 3 year CSR in Florida and it it looks like we may be closed down by Allstate as we are not meeting minimum goals. Other coworkers seem to think we will still have brokered policies. Am I missing something? Would we close as Allstate one day and open the next as an independent with 3,000+ brokered policies? I guess I thought these were Allstate brokered and owned policies, not the agents to take. Will we all be out of a job?

Our agent received 90 day notice too. Do we remain open during this time? Agent not really upfront on timing. thank you.

Your agency owner is losing the office. He did not meet minimum number of auto items. The policies in the old days would have been spread out over a few offices if the owner failed to sell the agency before closing. ALL of these policies are now going to go right into the direct sales book of 800 allstate. Allstate is going to be all direct sales at some point. every office closure is one more step toward that goal. If you are a really good LSP, immediately apply as a remote LSP for 800 allstate. You will most likely only do auto. Good luck and you can make it through this. If you can't beat them join them. It's not like you owned the office. Apply today.

They take it all unless the agency owner can sell it. Good luck..been there..find another job before that happens

All by design. Unfortunately you are done most likely in Florida. Big Blue snipping another agency. Seeing it a lot so far in 2025.

If the brokered policies are thru Ivantage - that's Allstate contolled business. Flood thru FEMA is independent though. Florida is a different world so far as insurance business.
