There will be a small fraction of people that still work there by the end of the year. I am curious how many people have not been cut yet.

Man I'd love to go find another job but it's tough. I'm routinely told I'm in the top few in my department but I feel like I barely know sh-t and been here years lol. We have people on the team we repeatedly tell/train the same thing every month or two though so I don't always feel bad XD. When I compare repair telecom stuff to the requirements I see on hiring sites for jobs nothing seems to fit. Wish I could find a way out.
Not sure on part out but a buy by anyone can't happen until the MLA is effectively nullified in an official merger. It's what stopped Zayo a few years ago from a purchase.
That's the end game in my opinion. Likely either Zayo or TMobile or Lumos gets most of the assets. If Windstream spins out Kinetic, Metronet might pick up that part as they are funded by TMobile now and TM is pushing heavy into the FTTH space.
This place is a bit odd in that there seems like most people klinging to their jobs here do not understand that for most people, they are actually getting an effective pay cut every year. Go find a position with a better company that doesn’t treat you like a refugee. While you’re still working here. Don’t even quit. Collect both checks until Unity lets you go..
