If the history repeats, the way CVX did everything so far, then this ENGINE will be a FAILED ENGINE soon....
Some Exxon managers are actively encouraging their lower performers to apply at Chevron
Likely just building up the employee pool. CVX can hire 20 of them for 1 of CVX who is overly compensated
I was offered a position but the pay was so low
Triple crown ain't working either...but it doesn't stop our management from telling lies how great it is
Companies in all industries are offshoring. Doesn’t matter how long it takes to hire offshore. It will happen. There’s no stopping it. The only thing that will dissuade companies is if offshoring is so heavily penalized it’s no longer cost effective. That’s not happening so brace yourselves for the onslaught.
It’s the golden goose ticket out of India 🇮🇳…
3 to 4 years working in Chevron Bengaluru…. Then it’s Green Card time!
Low Value, Low Cost back-office
If you pay peanuts, you will get monkeys!

Right you are. There are at least 7 LNG regasification terminals in India. I have to laugh as a US E&C Contractor is proclaiming themselves as the design to construction on one of them. That facility was designed and partially built by someone else, but went bankrupt in Construction. The US folks stepped in and just completed it.
I couldn’t understand many of them, the shortlisting has been atrocious…. Many are clearly lying regarding their previous experience.
Unfortunately, the selection bar has recently been lowered and the ENGINE leadership are aware and have approval for additional ENGINE expat roles to train, transit and fill the lack of experience gap!
Up to 70+ hired in Workday last week. I’d guess some of those postings are being left up to collect applicants for roles that will have multiple positions to fill.
Bro, a lot of those Indians are so hard to understand they should make it at least a requirement that they speak, fluent English with a neutral accent.
There are many Bengaluru roles asking for LNG experience…. There are 0 LNG plants in India, only simple re-gasification terminals….. What chance do we have?
No many Indians working in the Middle East want to return home for $40k per year.
These Bengaluru ENGINE positions will be ongoing for years…. To support the ongoing offshoring ramp up and the revolving door of Indians jumping ship for an extra $ per hour….
It’s going to be a cluster fu-k!
