This is bullsh-t. Layoffs and yet everyone has noticed that our CEO has hired protection police- security for himself. It isn’t even a secret that he has them at his home too with his family . All of the cuts we did and yet we spend money on people to protect his family??? He makes enough to pay for his home and family himself.

On the good bad and ugly post, he may be a nice guy but lots of nice guys don’t get jobs handed to them. He should have gone through the process. We are nice people and many were fu-kef by letting him and the secret service guy in without a challenge. I hope someone sues the fu-k out of them. Out HR rep said it was not done correctly and she would have been fired if she hired someone without doing it the right way. A lawsuit would end all of this and send the two unqualified fu--s packing!
I only had 2 customers ask me about it but one is a large health care customer. I told them the truth. They didn't give a sh-t as much about his son as they did how they did it. I was asked by one of their ethics big shots that I never met before. They said that hiring those two the way they did is a compliance violation at any company and it bothered them and need to look at why they are doing business with a unethical company. Our managers should tell us if they want us to answer a different way. I don't want to lose my customers. I need my job! Why did our managers do something this stupid and put our a-s in the middle of this sh-t storm? If they knew what they were doing, they would have known this sh-t was coming. It's not fair to us.
A customer asked me about this today on my route and I didn't know what to say. Was anyone here told what to say? I asked my manager and he told me to lie and say I don't know anything but I don't feel right lying to my customers.

Out execs hiring them both without giving people a chance to apply. I’m hoping someone reads this who is more experienced and is a woman who can prove it is discrimination because they didn’t post it. My market already commented on here but we are ready to go and the call outs are a good a-s idea! But more than a day! Let’s do this sh-t right so they never do something like this again. We met him. He is a good and down to earth young man who really seemed like he wanted to do the right thing. I am a dad too and I am sure that Mr. DF was just trying to take care of his son like we all would. I agree that compliance is to blame for not stopping this and that papa Smurf is now disrespected for his poor decision but no blame should be shown to the son. He is a marine who served and wants to make US foods better.

Even the area president was there with Attila the Hun and out regional HR manager and a crisis continuous person. I last us foods because I was seeing layoffs around me in Rosemont and didn’t want to be next. I went to a customer where I am making more money and am happy. I was really sad to make the decision but I had an opportunity and didn’t want to be let go. I make my new company owner change to us foods when I arrived here. I run all of the back of the house for all of his restaurants in the USA.. I now have to change over to Sysco . I cannot believe this happened to my old and loved us foods but this is not the place I left. I never would have expected lesders fo be this blatant and evil. I know the Hun and papa Smurf and they are sc-m but they are even worse than I expected the notice will arrive after I finalize the contracf with Sysco letter this week.

I was asked about this by my customer. I disnt realize this site existed. I told him I didn’t know but I am not sure what to answer him next week cuz he will ask me again. It looks like it is true. I am shocked about this but then again, typical of those in power to sc--w those that help them make their millions. Do we know if any of this is a violation of employment laws? Or civil right laws? Were anyone's rights violated? We should report this the way someone did to OSHA on another post. Can anyone on here answer my questions and tell me who we would call to get some outsiders to look into this?

You are both suppose to keep this from happening. You showed you can be bought because you choose to be complicit over doing what you get paid to do .

I am very proud and thankful for all of you taking this stance to aid each other. It is impressive. I am an associate on the HR team and am embarrassed by what some of our team members did in hiring those two positions. I understand that it came when our very top gave the instruction which is a shame because all of us are proud and try to be fair to all and his demand for some of us to violate our standards is a shame. Let me say that we are really a good group who care and should not be judged by this. I am asked about it in my market at least three times a week and I don't know what to say other than I am sorry. We did harm the potential for other people to apply and upset many that we chose candidates that appear to be unqualified and one because of.....dare I say it....yes...nepotism. I apologize to all of you for the actions of the one on top. I have talked to others in our team and some did feel very "dirty and like they were being asked to do immoral things by violating the very things that we are here to help with. Our associates rights and fair treatment. We knowingly brought in associates that some knew without ever posting the jobs and then quickly getting them through only part of the process. I was also told of what they were calling the "white glove" treatment and how they were setting up the meetings at the direction of our very top man and the very top of operations and what we spent was not an option. I even heard they bought him clothes that were not specialty items. So I stand with all of you but ask that you not judge us all. Most of us do love what we do and helping you grow as associates and within the company. We....I failed you but hope that our leaders take all of this into consideration and turn the ship in the right direction. Please free us from this ugly part in our company history.

A minimum wage person knows that wasn’t a good decision. If our leaders brought in these two yahoos without any industry or inner company experience other than government, military and consulting experience and one ever happens to be his son, it reflects poorly on their decision to be our leaders. I was asked about it by my largest customer and if his son was still here with us doing his pop's security and if they really hired two positions without experience. It seemed they knew everything. They said they looked it up on linked in and that it seemed obvious they knew someone because neither had experience in our industry or in any other. They couldn't believe it and wanted to see if I could let them know if it was true because they can't do business with unethical companies.. I had to tell the truth but asked them to stay and give us a chance. If you are reading this you will notice most of US Foods is against what they did and asks that you stay with us because your one of our biggest customers in our market and I don't want to lose you from my route or I may lose my job. Please be patient. Eventually our executives will do an about turn on all of this sh-t. If I lose my route and job because of your d-mbshit, I will have to go to court. I don't deserve to pay the price for your ignorance. And Attila the Hahn's operations should know better than to do this to us. You cowards needed to tell the CEO that he was wrong and should have shielded us from this sh-t. I am venting and serious at the same time.

Ethics, compliance, and the legal general counsel share some blame too. According the the outlook organization structure tab, the two unqualified newbies report into the legal general counsel and it is her team that should have stood up and said no to any of this happening. This was def nepotism and compliance violations. It is their job to protect the company from id--ts like those two. They didn't have the ba--s to take the right stance and decided to go along. They are just as much, if not more of the blame. At least that is the thinking of the conversations on the floor of the Portland, Oregon building.

The way they handled this shows that. Why would they think it is a smart thing to do to fly down and meet with his son to have dinner with him and see how he is doing? But they both did it in a way that violated our rights and company policies and rules, by passed minorities and even women like me by hiring unqualified people and neither one with actual company experience, and used up our profits when we are trying to save on costs. According to our operations sources at the very top of our DC, they heard that the Hun even asked that every leader of the DC's the son visited put all leaders of departments in conference rooms to present to his son and take him to dinners and lunches. Why didn't you just bring him on like a regular employee? We may have respected it that way but your poor decisions and bad leadership just hurt US Foods.
