Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Constant upper management onsites HQ

Executives and managers have been consistently flying into HQ for onsite meetings every other week for 2-3 days. Fiscal year savings deadline coming up… good luck in May all

Gainwell crowd has been awfully crowded lately. Any news on layoffs or shipping jobs overseas?

Agreed, that VP's etc were brought in to conduct Veritas business. Think it's going well? How are the accounts fairing? I have heard a bunch of people not happy, but have you seen any ramifications besides emp's losing their jobs? Have the offshore employees stepped up? Are there operational issues from a client standpoint? Unless there is client push back all noise will fall on deaf ears and it should if GWT can deliver more value to the client with cheaper workers. That is what is going to happen. You all might as well quit grouching as No One is listening from a GWT leadership perspective. GWT appears to have planned to cut workers but instead of offering them severance they were offloaded to a contract company where unemployment benefits and severance are not a thing. You the employee do not matter to leadership. Thinking that you do or that they should is absolutely silly.

just stating a few bullet points for consideration:

  • offsite meetings keep happening at higher levels of the org, for different organizations... including visits to India. Our future as employees its definitely being discussed in those meetings.
  • technically, Developers are considered "Systems Analysts", so its not just the Business Analysts that fall under the "analyst" umbrella term.
  • NTT and the Testing Practice have been, or are in the process of being rebadged. Do you honestly believe they will stop there?
  • whomever is next, probably will find out next month.
  • all these things that are happening, do not need to make sense to us employees. It only needs to make sense, financially, to Veritas. There's probably a lot of financial hocus pocus taking place, but at the end of the day, it only needs to make sense to them, even if that means a lot of operational non-sense to the rest of us.
  • Many of these new VPs and Directors seem to have been brought onboard precisely to enact Veritas mandate, no matter how crazy it sounds to the rest of us.
  • pretty much every frontline manager and their direct reports are caught in the middle. most of what is happening its not being communicated to your direct manager until its basically too late. there is nothing he or she can do you help you. this is not only being done by design, its also plain and simple incompetence at the higher management levels.
  • you also need to understand that all higher level management at Gainwell seems to live disconnected from reality. the operational realities are lost on them. how all this impacts the operation or us employees is lost on them, or they simply don't care.

take care of yourself, if you can find a job somewhere else, take it. its only going to get rougher here.

Circling the wagons in preparation for end of the fiscal year at the end of March. Take care of yourself and know your worth, because sadly, Gainwell doesn't.

Probably planning who else to outsource. They’re limping along with no end in sight.

Analysts include all who are involved in the solution creation. Essentially, offloading employees will save Gainwell $$$ to bid for next opportunity leaner.

It will be for tester roles, not analyst.

Define "analyst" please. Does this include programmers/application developers? Or do you mean business analyst?

All analyst roles are slated to be “rebadged” to Infinite vendor - good luck!
