Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

There should be an Enhanced AEOI

“They” can get closer to the numbers they project if they have an enhanced AEOI. This way, those on the fence will volunteer and they can project even better and lessen the numbers competing for spots.

The tradeoff is if you don’t AEOI you may get placed in a job you don’t want but if you turn it down you get nothing. From what I’ve heard AEOI will be approved 99.99%

People here are missing the point. If you don't AEOI, you're probably going to get laid off. AEOI is mainly aimed at older employees. It's cheaper to pay them enhanced severance than to defend nuisance age discrimination suits. Younger than 50 you're not going to max out the AEOI anyways.

Should have done 3x instead of 2x. There’s no reason to leave now unless you already lined up a job months ago.

Chevron royally messed up, as usual, for not offering a better initial EOI. If they wanted to get to the masses, those on the edge, or just larger numbers to leave, then it at minimum should have been three weeks per year.
Pretty sure AEOI will capture many, but not enough than as they should have.
So far with this move to ENGINE, finding resources in India, training new ENGINE employees, this is on par with our ELT's incompetence.
